Excited to share that our article on a deep-learning-based detection-task specific denoising method for improving the image quality of low-count myocardial perfusion SPECT images has been published in the IEEE Transactions on Radiation and Plasma Medical Sciences! Link to article here (open access)
Working on this was such a fantastic ride, building from the findings in another study, to develop a denoising method that shows improvement on defect-detection tasks in low-dose cardiac SPECT images. Thanks to our collaborators! Congrats to all involved, including Md Ashequr Rahman. Asheq’s work on this article had received honorable mention at the SPIE 2023 Medical Imaging meeting.
