Delighted to share that our publication on a projection-domain low-count quantitative SPECT method for alpha-particle-based radiopharmaceutical therapies has been accepted for publication to the IEEE Transactions on Radiation Imaging and Plasma Sciences! In this manuscript, we develop a method to perform quantification of uptake within different organs and lesions without performing reconstruction. The method was validated using a virtual clinical trial conducted in the context of patients with bone metastases and administered with Radium-223 based alpha-particle therapies. Validations were also conducted with physical-phantom studies on clinical scanners. We are excited to see the accurate and precise performance of this method.
